Pikes Traditionale Riesling 2020

Share

Pikes most popular riesling and one of three annual releases of this summer-suited varietal. Crafted from estate and grower sourced fruit with the Polish Hill River district dominating Pikes’ own contribution – all are free run juice with lees settling until classification, blending, filtering and bottling. All of this points to a crisp and pure styling; orchard florals, delicate cut limes to start, then picking up pace on the palate with great flavour concentration, acidity and fine pith and talc texture all in lingering, salivating balance. For riesling newbies and regular riesling drinkers alike, this will mature gracefully – (if you wish to see what that might be, Pikes have a set of museum releases of their 2015s).
