Red Hut Gisborne Albariño 2025

Share

Hails from New Zealand’s Gisborne region well-known for Chardonnay but now home to a small bunch of alternative varieties such as Albariño. It’s slow to start and open but grows nicely in the glass. Citrus blossom, lemon, lime zest, sweet ruby grapefruit and apple aromas. Arrives well-textured and smooth with a quiet restraint. Opens slowly with an attractive light savoury touch aligned to a palate that is crisp, dry and fresh with a lick of sweet lemon pastille to close.
