Comes at you firm, dry and savoury, dressed in sinewy tannins. It’s definitely all about the structure at this early stage, which is why in its youth it is necessary to bring some air in, a swish or a decant will do it. I left it for a day and on the next taste it opened up nicely revealing leafy notes, herbals, Aussie bush, acacia, sour cherry and red fruits. Tight, firm tannins are in charge at this stage ruling over a dry herbal-charged red fruited young Pinot with promise.
