Spicy plum and cherry aromas with a slightly savoury edge. The palate shows how quality Pinot Noir can have structure and presence. This is a mighty good example from the old Salitage vineyard, where Pinot was always a strong suit, almost from the first vintages. Sinewy chalky tannins and a subtle savoury earthy combination add to the complexity before it finishes with a slightly sappy astringency helping to define the palate.
