Salomon Estate The Verve Rosé 2024

Share

From Austrian wine “royalty” Dr Bert Salomon’s South Australian venture, his beloved vineyard beside the Finniss River on the southern coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula overlooking Lake Alexandrina, the last few turns of the mighty Murray and the Great Southern Ocean in the distance. The fruit within this Rosé is Mataro, aka Mourvèdre, reflecting the variety’s recognised role in southern French Rosé wines. This one is electric pale pink with a blueish tinge, lifting out of the glass as if it was bursting with just-cut, white-topped strawberries, calyx attached. Fresh and pure Rosé, neatly balanced crispness with a peppery spice and mouthwatering pithiness and tingle in the finish. So refreshing.
