Schwarz Wine Co Thiele Road Grenache 2024

Vines were planted in 1941 and speak of their site with the rouge tones of Gala apple, and the precise clarity of fresh cranberries. Some nectarine and rainier cherries too. Fruit arches on the palate with a robust ripeness and some dried raspberry seed, leaning towards a brittle gum bark. A kernel nuttiness mid palate and long line of acidity ensure the flavours continue to echo. This is uniquely poised and delicate coupled with a density of flavour and long length of fruit and earthy tones. A very good representation of the place. Drink now or will cellar another 4-5 years. Think along the lines of pork medallions in bacon or pancetta.
