Black as night, this is more Greenock Creek than Cabernet with luscicous aromas of blackberry jam, baked earth and chocolate with the most gentle leafy/herbal lift. It’s then quite structural with weighty tannins and slightly perky acidity over tarry flavours before dusty oak sweeps in on the finish. It needs a couple of years to come together.
