Sordo Barolo 2017

Share

While Sordo have 17 vineyard parcels from eight cru in total at their disposal, this terrific allrounder is focused on an 80% proportion from La Morra. The colour is typically garnet, while the bouquet is immediately attractive then engagingly complex and deeply set with black cherry skins, dark chocolate and black pepper. There’s a deal of flesh in the palate along with cherry liqueur flavours transitioning to savoury elements, commanding enough not to be bullied by the expected tannins, which are remarkably soft and plush. Most comforting.
