From a special vineyard in the Monforte d’Alba district, there’s an aromatic opulence to this wine, roasted orange and Middle Eastern spices at one moment, raspberry cream with dark mint and sage at another. It’s all-engaging, and continues that way bridging into the palate where there’s a whole- of-mouth coating of tannins – yet the flavours don’t give an inch. A sensory experience that invites continued tasting as the wine evolves in the glass, a full suite of pleasures lingering for ages.
