St. Hallett remains faithful, as always, to the heart and soul of Barossa Shiraz, capturing all the region’s richness of blackberry fruit, liveliness of spice and mouth filling generosity in this well-priced youngster. Sweet cassis aromas with black cherry, blueberry, anise – all upfront and appealing. The palate is plush, full bodied and sweet fruited, loaded in spice, red liquorice and chocolate. Framed in supple tannins it finishes with a nice touch of phenolic grip. A good all-rounder at a smart price.
