Mitolo G.A.M Shiraz 2017

Share

Mitolo’s G.A.M. seems to have toned down a couple of notches in recent years, which is not such a bad thing, making a more food-friendly style.

It is still deeply coloured and flavoured, radiating with powerful fruit – blackberry jam, cocoa and chocolate lifted by touches of black olive and dried herbs. This then leads to a dry, rich and mouthfilling palate – punchy dark fruits that are well balanced are supported by plenty of chewy tannins with that black olive fruit again coming through on a long and satisfying finish. It is an unashamedly generous McLaren Vale style with good structure underneath which provides good aging potential.
