Henschke Stone Jar Tempranillo 2024

Share

Matured in 100% seasoned French hogsheads for six months prior to blending and bottling. Plum conserve, blueberry, violets, dried cherry, and a sprinkling of nutmeg spice form a lovely fruit-and-spice mix. Medium-bodied with supple texture, the palate mirrors the nose, with spice and violet notes dancing around the edges. Grainy, integrated tannins provide a gentle frame, carrying the wine to decent length. Measured structure and good vibrancy make it approachable now. It will stand up to food but doesn’t necessarily need it. Good drinking.
