Taylors Jarraman Shiraz 2018

Share

The Clare Valley makes some of the most unique Shiraz in the country. It’s big and bold in a typical South Australian style but there is also some added depth. More black fruits than red and also an intriguing savoury, even a little rustic, edge.

This wine, which also has some fruit from McLaren Vale, screams Clare from every pore with its deep, black as night colour. It is very much a typically forceful Clare style with very complex tarry, licorice, blackberry fruits and savoury spice backed by vanillin oak. It is then dry, bold, savoury and brooding on the palate. Youthful too with some balanced tannins so will age well. Tackle this wine now with well-cooked steak.
