Planted in 1924 these are centenarian bush vines planted on deep sand. Handpicked, whole berry ferment and 20% whole bunch. The wine needs coaxing from the glass and a decant allows for more rapid aeration. Your time will pay off with rose petals and potpourri, persimmon and stalks of rhubarb. Cherry liquor and creme de violet. Tannins are gravelly and give sturdy shoulders to the wine Some carob and bitter cocoa nib spice. A wine that draws you in the longer you spend with it. A porcini ravioli would be delightful. Drink now or cellar for 2-3 years further.
