Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2022

Usually restricted to the role of blending partner, but Cabernet Franc can be so much more. Terre à Terre takes the grape to the next level, producing one serious – and seriously elegant – wine that is pure, fine-boned and oh so engaging. The scent of lifted florals, rose, pepper, spice and a big bouquet of red fruits and plums sets the scene. Arrives harmonious and even tannin-ed throughout – nary a hair out of place – with a natural brightness of acidity against a rich palette of fruit flavour and spice. The addition of 9% Shiraz brings added tone and weight to Cabernet Franc, while not overpowering it. Wrattonbully, which shares a border with Coonawarra, certainly has a way with Cabernet Franc.
