The Other Wine Co. Grenache 2021

This 2021 McLaren Vale Grenache hails from 45 year old bush vines in Blewitt Springs. The perfume is indicative of those sandy soils and opens with violets, blueberries and intense blackcurrants. There is a layer of red fruits as well, macerated raspberry and cooked rhubarb with soft licorice, clove studs and vanilla seed. A compressed and weighty mid plate makes for a sturdy drink making this a distinctive and bold wine with velvety tannins. Impossible not to love.
