Thistledown Where Eagles Dare Eden Valley Shiraz 2020

Share

From the highly regarded Mattschoss Vineyard high up in the Eden Valley comes this powerful yet reserved Barossan showing its cooler climate origins as it delivers hearty aromas of roasted meats, licorice, baked earth and old spices backed by chocolate and blackberry with a lining of vanillin oak. The palate is then plush as it delivers waves of fleshy dark berry fruits, with a line of spice always in play. Tannins are slightly firm but well integrated then support a lengthy finish. Already drinking well but will also improve over the medium term.
