Torzi Matthews Francesca Grillo Collina Calcarera Syrah 2022

This generous medium bodied pure Syrah comes from quite young vines in Angaston above the Barossa Valley floor. It opens with aromas of dried herbs and sage with a clove influence over the primary red fruits. The palate is medium weight but with plenty of fruit intensity. Loads of dark fruit is delivered with a dry focus accentuated by chalky tannins. Nice wine for drinking now or a few more years if you wish.
