The Tudor Shiraz is rapidly becoming one of the country’s top bargain shiraz. But not in that big and bold South Aussie style. It is more understated and savoury, thanks to cooler climate origins.
This wine is right in the slot – there is some rich and ripe, fleshy blackcurrant and black cherry fruit but underneath is where the action is, with layers of subtle complexity – violets, earth and allspice all providing plenty of interest. It is mid-weight and supple in the mouth so ready to go right now but again shows that savoury edge with a little sweet oak and ripe tannins to finish. Serious bargain territory. Exclusive to ALDI.
