Two Hands Aerope Grenache 2018

Share

There are so many different styles of Australian Grenache now from the fine and delicate through to the more traditional wines stacked full of flavour. This wine is absolutely in the latter camp while also delivering great drinkability and quite serious complexity. It is a rich and decadent style of grenache with mouthfilling cherry compote, raspberry, spice and dried herb fruits plus plenty of oak in support. The fruit is then bright and fresh – more red berry fruits but now also lifted by some baked earth and tobacco complexity. There is impressive power but also balance with manicured tannins which support an extremely long finish. It’s a traditional style of Australia grenache done well with wide appeal, particularly with roast suckling pig.
