Two Hands Gnarly Dudes Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019

Gnarly Dudes is not the kind of name usually found on Australian wines but Michael Twelftree is also not your average wine man. His Gnarly Dudes is a tribute to a film favourite, The Big Lebowski, and the gnarled old vines that are so prevalent throughout the Barossa Valley.

Of all the wines in the Two Hands Picture Series range this is the one that packs the biggest punch. It’s a wild ride with lashings of blackberry, cocoa, dark cherry and jammy fruits supported by ample oak followed by a plush and luscious palate. Rich and ripe fruit sit on a bed of silky tannins that provide just enough backbone to carry a hell of a lot of fruit. It’s a decadent, early drinking style that is hard to put down.
