UMAMU Estate Margaret River Chardonnay 2018

Share

Struck river stones, pomelo flesh, white nectarine and crab apple blossom. Sandstone, white lily and lemon curd. Marigold and shortbread. Fruit is looking youthful and fresh. A flinty reduction backed by lovely peach ripeness. Dried pineapple and almond flour on the finish. A welterweight of a wine but with substance and flair. Oak is toasty but suits the style and certainly has the fruit to carry it. Drinking very well now and will cellar another 2 years. Serve with buttery crayfish in the shell.
