Sordo Museum Release Barolo 2010

Share

It’s thought this wine contains fruit from eight to ten of Sordo’s crus, including the Grand Cru Villero and Monprivato which weren’t bottled individually until 2013. A panoramic wine in that sense, and one that explains why Barolo is really at its finest with this kind of maturity under its belt. It’s vibrant and expressive with all the nasal excitements of the region and variety: black cherry, choc-orange biscuit, beef broth, dark purple rose petals…on and on it goes. All these enticing aromatics transition to a matrix of flavours that echoes endlessly, epitomising Barolo with its trademark tannins now relaxing somewhat yet still offering distinctive encouragement. In a beautiful and soulful spot right now, with plenty of life ahead of it.
