Maxwell Nero 2021

A very good year in McLaren Vale has allowed the winemakers to pick this at a slightly lower baume, resulting in less overt alcohol and, as a result, a better balanced and more pleasing wine made from a variety which hails from Sicily and that is becoming increasingly popular in Australia. It’s a vibrant and high energy wine with cherry and spicy plum notes. The fine lingering acidity keeps it together sustaining a long finish. A very good example of this variety.
