NV Veuve Monsigny ‘Premier Cru’ Brut NV

Premier Cru Champagne at $30? ALDI have done a great job here with this bargain. Produced by Charles Mignon in the hallowed town of Epernay, it is a complex, creamy style (red apples, toasty brioche, baked bread) backed up by some refreshing acidity. Get this one ready to accompany your cheese board – it will cover some serious ground here across all styles. And that’s because Champagne & cheese is the ultimate food and wine match at home in my opinion. This is definitely a step up from its baby brother, the Brut Selection NV.
