Riversdale Estate Riesling 2022

Share

A lovely deep dive into lime, everything lime! Lime zest, lime cordial, lime sherbet aromas with an enticing addition of citrus blossom and the prettiest aromatics in honeysuckle and Thai basil, marks this Coal River Valley Riesling as a top-class example of the continuing rise and rise of riesling in Tasmania. What follows is a clean purity of fruit expression on the palate, one built around a firm line and length of zesty, fresh acidity and plenty of citrus – with lime in the vanguard – leading the way. There’s both the zing of youth present in the glass and the promise of an even better tomorrow over time. Like a fresh, zest-fuelled lemon or lime sorbet but without too much sugar, it’s super clean and dry . . . and more-ish.
