Pikes Traditionale Riesling 2020

Share

Pikes Traditionale Riesling is always a dependable wine you can take to the bank. Come rain, hail or shine, it delivers a very pure Clare Valley interpretation of riesling with style. The 2020 vintage is a bit more exotic than most thanks to the dry vintage and has delivered wines that are packed full of flavour.

It is bright medium straw in colour and opens up with powerful and exotic citrus, guava and blossom fruits that are punchy but retain typical Clare Valley focus. The wine is then dry and tangy, with those exotic citrus fruits boosted by fine acidity that provides good overall fruit impact, concentration and length. Balance is a key to this wine which makes it a medium term ageing proposition. Drink it young with Indian vegetarian dishes such as Saag Paneer.
