Zonte’s Footsteps Scarlett Ladybird 2025

A ruby hue in the glass, the colour giving a good indication that this isn’t trying to replicate the southern French styles. No it sure isn’t, because it is filled with FLAVOUR, fruit base is Grenache with some structural Cabernet Sauvignon as well, this is a Rosé that has some grainy skin tannins, a burst of watermelon vitality and freshness and uplifting acidity to match. Aromas speak of tea rose and cranberries and the palate opens with some gentle strawberries and cream but the finish throws in campari and orange oil to the flavour profile. This is a dream on the table with small game, spatchcock, quail and the likes, could easily work with trout and salmon too. A fairly dry wine but filled with a confetti of fruit. Drink now.
