Margaret River Chardonnay expectations are met and then some in this most sophisticated youngster. Imagine how long its journey will take when there is so much in control at this early stage? It’s a good sign. Opens invitingly with the sweet scent of marri blossom and lantana accompanied by peach, citrus and a splash of leatherwood honey. Trades on Margaret River rich plushness of ripe peach, pear tart, citrus with a gentle serve of nutty oak and lively spice. The wine spent 18 months in French oak puncheons. The texture is close knit and harmonious. Palate gathers weight and drive as it opens up. Don’t rush this beauty.
