Wynns V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz 2024

A great, classic Australian archetype. The wine, and the blend. Tastes like one, too. Muddled red plums, apple seed, poached rhubarb, cranberry, tobacco leaf, and blood pudding. It makes me want to wear cashmere and open my letters with a knife. In the mouth, the black plum skins, prunes, raspberries, and cherries. It has a lot to give. But doesn’t really give a sh$t. The fruit is tart and crunchy, detailed and pure – reading at just ripe – as is the flow of all reds from the 24 release. There is plenty of tannin, fine and architectural. Eat with lean meat and your lover.
