The team behind Winesmiths have creatively answered the call to the consumers demand for more thoughtful drinking options. Winesmiths and indeed wordsmiths to boot, have released their Organic 2- Litre Cask. It’s clear that from package to palate nothing is left without consideration. Certified Organic grapes and packaging that sits at 13% the carbon footprint of bottled wine, this current release is a leap in the right direction of sustainable wine production. The options take the form of 2021 Organic Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon produced by the Hill-Smith family in South Australia.
The Pinot Grigio is the standout. Freshly sliced granny smith apples with cold pressed cloudy apple juice and desert lime zest, it’s a wine that’s made for a highlight at the end of a long day. Lively and limber it would be hard to go past a glass as it sits nestled in the door of your fridge. Then again perfectly preserved in cask, Winesmiths have made it possible to never feel pressured to just ‘finish off the bottle’.
This is reimagined and attentive wine for the visionaries of our future.
