Fruit is sourced from the Clare Valley. Pomegranate, blackberries and wild strawberries. This leans into wild spice and all things nice. With a touch of bunch adding a briar of herbs, tarragon and rosemary alongside poppy seed and licorice root. Some middle palate weight adds a plummy character with clove and cola making an appearance too. This is very much a wine greater than the sum of its parts or at least more interesting than listing the varietal make up in percentages. Tannic and sultry and fine. So buy the wine, because of its intrigue, drink it with a heavily spiced Chana Masala curry and feel exotic. Drink now or will cellar for another 3-5 years.
