Angullong Crossing Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Share

Angullong are quite a big grower in Orange and for this label they keep only the very best fruit for themselves and from the top vintages. No great surprise then that this wine is a fitting release for a Reserve label and a serious version of Australian cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright deep ruby in colour – it opens with robust and muscular aromas – classic youthful blackcurrant and cedar which are tight, focussed and well matched to classy oak. The palate is all about the structure – sinewy tannins and firm acidity underpinning powerful leafy cassis fruits which drive a long, fine finish. Tannins are on the lighter side for this variety so best enjoyed over the medium term.
