Paralian Marmont Vineyard Grenache 2019

Share

This a unique style of Blewitt Springs Grenache that has had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at it to help the fruit shine. Almost 60 year old vines, some whole bunch plus a twenty five day ferment followed by 9 months in old oak gives it an almost Pinot Noir like dimension. Aromatically piercing there is great purity and focus of savoury almost stony fruits with licorice, spicy and meaty nuances. It is then packed full of flavour but still reserved, the fruit tightly coiled, impressively youthful and long with a core of generous tannins. Lovely wine and can’t wait to see how it unfurls over the next decade.
