This years make up consists of 75% Syrah and 25% Grenache from 8 selected vineyards. An average of 18% whole bunches, natural fermentation and basket pressed to 500L French oak and concrete tank. Wild raspberry core with inky blackberries, tonka bean and licorice. Allspice, clove and cardamom. Decadent on the palate with supple tannins and elongated persistence of flavour. Blackcurrant wine gums, vanilla bean and dark chocolate curls. It’s drinking very well now and will cellar 2-6 years. This is a compact wine full of detail and craftsmanship but feels natural and unadorned. Drink with beef empanada or beef wellington.
