Bell & Gong Valleyfield Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023

Dark cherry, plum sauce and game meat notes emanate from the glass before a filling out of tilled earth and caramel nut brittle – the amalgam of which results in a moreish aromatic profile. The palate is quite round and open knit, following suit with a swathe of rich plum, mulberry and raspberry fruit and some earthiness in support. It’s a solid burst of fruit that defines the palate, while fine silty dark chocolate tannins and plum-drenched acidity draw shape and length through the finish. A full fruited expression, particularly on the palate, though with some lovely complexity in tow.
