Teakle Rosé 2024

Share

This is made using 100% Shiraz from the Teakle vineyard. Nice pale salmon pink colour. Quite herbaceous and vegetal tones upon opening with notes of green bean and sugar snap pea before some rose petal prettiness emerges. Air brings out the fruit notes of cranberry, pomegranate and ripe watermelon. The palate is more fruit-led, with the cranberry, pomegranate and watermelon notes firmly at the fore and the herbaceous and floral notes lingering in the background. The tannins are subtle but present through the finish and a latent kick of acidity works to freshen it all up. Not a bad offering, but just falls shy of the refreshing, bright, high-toned and thirst-slaking aesthetic most look for at this price point.
