Tahbilk Roussanne Marsanne Viognier 2018

Share

Tahbilk is not only about marsanne. All the other major Rhone varieties (of both colours) are widely represented at the property. This blend is a celebration to textural whites with all three varieties chipping in with their set of aromatics and their structural components.

The florals hit the nose first with notes of honeysuckle, elderflower and a good whack of rose water. The 20% viognier is definitely not hiding! Lemon oil and fresh ginger to follow.

The well rounded palate is a triumph of stone fruit with apricots and their kernels in the front line, complemented by succulent tropical fruit. This wine screams lobster rolls.
