Beresford McLaren Vale Grenache 2025

Share

Grenache has many personalities. This youngster falls into the modern Oz style where tannin and phenolics help heighten the wine’s profusion of cherry fruits before finishing cherry pip grippy and dry. It makes for a lingering, fresh finish. But, I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s return to the start. Cherry red-purple hues. Aromas bring a pinch of black pepper, rose florals and musk to ripe cherries. There is plenty of life and energy on the palate combining crushed cherries, raspberries, cranberries with musk confection  notes amid earth and autumn leaves. Then those gorgeous aforementioned tannins come into play bringing structure and form. Flavours run deep yet elegant and those tannins have an important role to play.
