Berton Vineyard Alfresco Range Fiano 2022

Alfresco in name, alfresco in deed. This Riverina fiano delivers every inch of the Mediterranean grape variety’s sunny, breezy, summery freshness to the glass. It is, as the range’s name suggests, perfect for outdoor dining or, for that matter, any form of informal eating. It brings both crunchy acidity – the grape certainly holds its acidity well in warmer regions – AND well developed, concentrated fruit flavour. Spiced apple, pear tart, leesy brioche, citrus and spice – a rich spiciness – segue into a full on juicy and racy acidity. This is one flavourful, bright mouthful of flavour at a terrific price. The fiano grape is certainly versatile.
