A heady wine with bramble, cassis and dark plum skin. This opens with more time in the glass and a few good coating swirls. There is mocha and dark chocolate, some pepper berries and a hue of blue fruit that snuggles into the middle palate. Quite the seamless integration of sultry tannins and a good lift of elegant acidity. I think this is pretty nifty and a good representation of Barossa Cabernet. This drinks well now and for its price tag, a very handy wine to have in the house on the regular. Try this wine steak and mushroom pie.
