Miss Piggy is always one of my favourite Black and Ginger wines. The Orange Muscat (official name Muscat Fleur d’Oranger) is aptly named as the aroma and taste of sweet orange blossom pervades the wine. Behind it are notes of lemon, talc, wax and peach, and on the palate, there’s lots of saltiness, as well as heaps of acid and a zippy, oily mouthfeel. This is honestly one of those wines that you’d be happy to drink by itself but it will pair with a wide range of foods (canard à l’orange, anyone?).
