Black Grape Society Master Pinot Noir 2024

Share

Hailing from Central Otago, it has everything you’d want and expect from a New Zealand Pinot. There are lovely florals from the first sniff, some violet prettiness that sets up the wine nicely for what’s to come: heaps of red cherry and strawberry, some brambly savouriness, and some ripe plum. With a bit of air, the fruit turns darker on the palate – more like black cherry and blackberry. There’s lots of structure and a surprising amount of tannin, while the 13.5%ABV alcohol is well integrated.
