Brand & Sons Yates Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Sourced from the Coonawarra’s ‘mid-west’- there is something down-to-earth about this, Akubra tilting, boots-caked-in-red-earth kind of character. Mid-weight and vibrant, brimming with cherry, blackcurrant, after dinner mint, chocolate ripple biscuit and freshly turned earth. A core of sweet berry fruit is lifted by juicy acidity and framed in fine, filigree tannins. The palate tightens at the finish, revealing a cool, lingering freshness woven with pine, blackcurrant pastille and powdered chocolate. Commendable effort in a challenging vintage.
