Sidewood Oberlin Pinot Noir 2024

Share

The “Oberlin” refers to one of several specific clonal plantings Sidewood Estate grows at their Mappinga Road vineyard in the central Adelaide Hills Oakbank district. Highly perfumed with suggestions of strawberry liqueur milk chocolates and pretty dark crimson rose petal. Those top notes take the lead at first, leading into a palate of crunchy red plums, flavour and acidity expressed with glee while finding a delicious balance. Through all these senses the colour is all engaging – glossy ruby, amazing clarity. You are in good Pinot stead here without a doubt, the wine’s fleshiness adding a wilder element to a forested flourish in the final sipping.
