Brown Brothers Winemaker’s Series Shiraz 2022

This wine is a big boy with lots of personality, so it needs some time in the glass to chill out. It leaves a distinctive trace behind its back; think of preserved mulberries, black cherries and black plums. But that cowboy rusticity dominates, with its polished leather boots, bush herbs scents, olive tapenade, and cedar. Unsurprisingly, it is full-bodied with a thick mid-palate that you can almost cut with a knife. At the moment, it’s still packed and big in an amalgamation of fruit and oak.
