Byron & Harold Rose & Thorns Cabernet Sauvignon 2024

The fruit here, from the Great Southern region, was destemmed and crushed into the fermenters, inoculated, and pumped over twice a day. Maturation was in oak. A dark crimson hue, the nose oozes notes of plums and cherries, dried herbs, cigar boxes, aniseed, cold tea and bay leaves. A firm texture is evident on this wine of decent length, which finishes with bold and solid tannins. A muscular style which will give pleasure for at least the next ten years.
