Calabria Alternato Sangiovese 2020

Part of a range of alternative varieties, in this case the fruit is sourced from the Stockwell subregion within the Barossa valley. Captures so much of what this variety is about in Australia. Has a slightly sweeter and more supple sense in the palate with dark chocolate balancing the bright red cherry and raspberry flavours. Beautiful oak and fine chalky tannin integration with a liberal sprinkle of dried herbs and spices on the finish.
