Cape Jaffa En Soleil Shiraz 2022

Share

From estate vineyards in the Mt Benson region, maturation was for twelve months in older oak. An opaque maroon with a ruby red rim. This is a slightly more earthy style, more savoury, than some of the Cape Jaffa range. There are notes of plums, freshly dug beetroot, coffee grinds, black fruits and mushrooms. The palate sees the move to more soy, smoked meats and beefstock characters. There is good length here, sleek tannins and underlying power. If needed, it will easily handle eight to ten years and continue to improve over that time.
