Cape Landing Blackwood Chardonnay 2024

Whole bunch pressing here, followed by nine months maturation in French oak barriques, 43% of them new. The colour here is a lemon straw, while the nose is full of lemon, ginger, stone fruits and lemongrass. This is impressively crafted with excellent oak integration. There is an alluring creamy texture here, but overall, this is refined, elegant and from the leaner end of the Chardonnay spectrum with good acidity and very good length. This will provide pleasure for the next six to eight years. Cracking stuff.
